Guymon Foundation Assets Exceed $4.8 Million
Guymon Charities Received Over $190,000 In Grants
The assets of Guymon's top foundations grew to $4,802,455 for the most recent year on record, according to the recently released Oklahoma Foundation DataBook, 2nd Ed. The 432-page DataBook lists every foundation in Oklahoma and profiles the top 214 Oklahoma grantmaking foundations, whose assets represent more than 99% of all Oklahoma foundation assets. The DataBook is the only directory in Oklahoma that lists every one of the 7,710 grants awarded by the state's largest foundations.

There are 2 Guymon foundations profiled in the DataBook. The combined total of the grants awarded by Guymon foundations was $220,729.

Guymon nonprofit organizations received 9 grants with a combined total of $195,729. The average grant to Guymon nonprofit organizations was $21,748.

Each of the 7,710 grants made by the profiled foundations is described using the 26 Major Field Areas of the National Taxonomy of Exempt Entities (NTEE) classification system, developed specifically to categorize nonprofit organizations. The top categories of foundation grants in Guymon were: 2 grants classified as Health, general, rehabilitative, with a sub-total of $90,729; 1 grants classified as Employment, jobs, with a sub-total of $30,000; 1 grants classified as Youth development, with a sub-total of $30,000.

The foundations profiled in the DataBook are identified by careful cross checking of IRS and state public records (starting with the IRS 990 tax returns foundations are required to file), culling out dedicated purpose foundations or foundations which award scholarships exclusively.
